American Republic

The American Republic
“A Republic if you can keep it.” Those were Benjamin Franklin’s famously spoken words after the drafting of the United States Constitution. And they are important.
It is no coincidence that the left consistently attempts to describe our nation as a Democracy instead of a Republic, but the distinction between those two things means everything. A Democracy is “Majority Rule” while a Republic is “Rule of Law”. The American left desires very much to cloud that distinction because they realized long ago that by uniting multiple small groups of malcontents they can attempt to usurp individual rights through mob rule. Under a Republic, religious freedoms, free speech, the right to bear arms, and personal liberties are guaranteed and protected by the Rule of Law and threatened by mob rule.
When the left shouts “Save our Democracy!” over and over, it’s not a rallying cry to protect the outcome of elections, which they’ve shown they clearly don’t respect; they shout it as a means to validate mob rule over the protections set in place by the American Constitution. The left would like very much for Americans to believe that we are a Democracy rather than a Republic, because a Democracy is no more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner. This is why they purposely choose that word.
The Patriot T-Shirt Company purposely chose the phrase “American Republic” as the name for our flagship, branded collection of designs because we think it’s important for Americans to know, recognize, and remember the fact that we are indeed a Republic – in fact it’s guaranteed in the Constitution itself. And our Constitution will protect our liberties – no matter how loudly the left shrieks and carries out their mob violence – only as long as we remember and embrace the idea that America is a Republic.
Long Live the Republic.
